    Glastonbury Abbey, Glastonbury, Somerset
    www.glastonburyabbey.com
Glastonbury Abbey was a medieval powerhouse, brutally closed down at the Reformation when the last Abbot was hung, drawn and quartered on Glastonbury Tor behind the town. Today the ruins of one of the largest churches built in Europe still speak of beauty, faith and strength. Visit our Abbot's Kitchen, one of only 2 surviving in Europe, to see the grandeur in which the Abbots and Bishops who walked the corridors of power lived.
Three kings of England were buried here, as well as the bones of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere, if you believe the legends! Come here and learn about the history of Somerset across 1500 years, written in stones and artefacts from the past. We have a team of costumed Living History presenters, skilled at bringing the past to life who lead tours, and interactive presentations on aspects of the life and times of the Abbey. We have a fine museum, an ancient almshouse chapel, recently decorated with medieval style murals and 36 acres of parkland to explore, with fishponds and wildlife areas.
Whether you are a Primary School wanting to learn more about the history of your country or a Sixth form group studying the effects of the Reformation you can find out more at the Abbey. We are open every day of the year (except Christmas Day) from 9.00 am until dusk.
    Usual price: Adults £6.00
Discounted price: School groups aged under 16 £4.00, aged over 16 £5.00

Moors Valley Country Park, Nr Ringwood

Autumn is a wonderful time to explore the great outdoors and an outdoor trip provides a great opportunity for you to get to know your new class.
It is wonderful time of change, with beautiful colours, cold crisp days and fantastic fungi. Over the course of two hours children will learn why some trees lose their leaves and others don't, make their very own leaf identification chart to take away and learn how many different animals survive the winter months.
Usual price: £64 per ranger, per 2 hour session (16 children:1 ranger)
Discounted price: £48 per ranger, per 2 hour session (16 children:1 ranger)
Valid from and to: Between 19th September and 25th November 2011
