new AQA double science GCSE - chemistry

Discussion in 'Science' started by pollyloppy, Aug 28, 2015.

  1. Hiya,

Was just looking at the new double science GCSE, and would just like some clarification - is balancing chemical equations now in the foundation paper and not just higher tier? That is what it looks like according to the draft spec I have, but I just wanted to make sure I am not interpreting it wrong.

    TIA

Its always been in both tires hasn't it? is've always taught it that way and I would expect such a basic skill - at least for simpler equations - to be covered by all pupils. There appears to be very little higher tire only stuff in the new course.
