I am teaching handwriting for the first time for Y1 having spent 6 years in EYFS.
I've been given the Nelson Red level developing skills book - can anyone tell me whether you have planned a unit a week. I was planning to do this, but unsure whether this is too quick for the progression.
Any advice would be appreciated xx

  3. Hi,

A school I was in a few years ago and I did plan it over a week.
However in my current school we do 1 unit over 2 weeks.

I would check with your stage partner or PT.

    Good luck

Thanks - I was worried that it was a lot for a week. Think planning a unit a fortnight will work better xx
