I would like your thoughts on pay - is it appropriate to negotiate? Any tips?

I'm half-way up the MPS and on lowest TLR for running a department. Am I being short changed?

Line manage two members of staff and day-to-day management of 6 in total, including ITT.

You can ask for your pay to be re-evaluated, but unless you can identify others doing much the same job (with same responsibilities) within your current school's structure AND being paid more, it's unlikely they'll raise your pay. This is because each school can determine its own pay structure (and therefore what they pay for each TLR) and it need bear no resemblance to any other school's - so whether or not anyone here might feel you are being "short changed" isn't relevant.

Where you are on MPS has nothing to do with your TLR pay.

Yes, I'm afraid that @Middlemarch is correct here.

Sorry we can't give you more hope . . .

    Best wishes
