Hi and thank you in advance for any help that you may provide.

My school is looking to change the delivery of the curriculum in Year 1. Does anyone here deliver a negotiated curriculum? Does anyone know where I could find more information about this?

What do you mean by 'negotiated curriculum'?
Surely you have to teach the national curriculum don't you?

Hi, it is a way of delivering the National Curriculum in a more EYFS type of way.

Sorry, I would genuinely love to help but I don’t understand the question.

I think they are asking if anyone teaches year 1 in a play based, more child led way...a bit like good practice in EYFS.

the answer is yes I have done so, but not sure whether the OP wants research based articles, books of ideas or anecdotes.

We have the y1 curriculum delivered through continuous provision for the 1st half term. After that that is all the transition they need so they can access y1 more formally.
