  1. You clearly do not live in Northampton

We allowed our NT and English Heritage Memberships to lapse when we realised we had moved to the culture/history - less centre of the world
  2. same here in bristol - not much to see. in northumberland there were a few places, and english heritate was good value too
  3. Staffs here and plenty to see within an hours drive in any direction.

All the beaches and tiny car parks in N Devon and Cornwall make it worth doing. The advantage one would think of living in Northampton would be the ease of geting away from Northhampton at weekends...
  5. Nothing to see near Bristol?
    Clevedon Court
    Castle Combe
    Dyrham Park
    Courts gardens at Holt
    Great Chalfield Manor
    Westonbirt (not NT)

  6. Cut myself off....
all places within an hour of Bristol, and there are lots more.
