    Hi all,
This is just to draw your attention to the National SENCO Workload Survey - details below.
If you are a SENCO in any setting, please do take a look.
    Thanks,
    Helen

    The National SENCO Workload Survey

The 2018 National SENCO workload survey is a joint research project between the NEU, nasen and Bath Spa University.

This survey aims to further explore:
    • the workload undertaken by SENCOs
    • the key activities of the SENCO role
    • how SENCOs manage their role within their settings
    • variations in time allocated to the role
    • wider support for the SENCO role.

We are contacting you in your role as a SENCO and to ask if you would be willing to complete our survey.

The survey takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary and you can withdraw at anytime, without reason.

All responses to the survey are contributed anonymously. You will not be required to provide your name or any identifying information as part of the survey. Responses will be collated for analysis and subsequently written up. Data will only be accessible to the Research team. Individual data will not be shared with anyone outside of the research team.
We will publish our findings and make recommendations later in the year. The report will be published by the NEU and will be disseminated online as well as to a number of organisations including the DfE and Ofsted.

To complete the survey, please click on this link: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PQHXBWL

The survey will be open from 17th September until 5th October.

To read full details about the project, including all ethical considerations, please click here or copy and paste the following link: https://nss2018.wixsite.com/nationalsendcosurvey

If you have any questions, please email Dr Helen Curran h.curran@bathspa.ac.uk

Thank you for your time in completing this survey. Your responses will help us understand more about the complexities and demands of the SENCO role, and help us make recommendations for the future.

    With best wishes
The National SENCO workload survey research team
