You'll find plenty of downloadable files with national statistics
about SEN on the following page, entitled "DfE: Children with Special
Educational Needs 2010: an analysis", on the Department for Education
    website at
    http://www.education.gov.uk/rsgateway/DB/STA/t000965/index.shtml
    The
information was released during October 2010, so it's pretty up to
date. Check the following DfE page if you are looking for SEN
statistics from previous years or are looking for any imminent SEN
    publications:
    http://www.education.gov.uk/rsgateway/catego.shtml#m1_4
    Hope this helps.
