My secret shame . . . (Don't tell Mrs TG)

I have just bought yet another Kindle.
This one is another one for me, not a gift. Making 3 in all that I have - a DX and two K3s.
Because last week I had 5 minutes of horror and palpitations when my Kindle 3 went blank and even a re-set couldn't make it come alive again at first.
The thought of perhaps being without my Kindle for 2 or 3 days while Customer Services replaced it (or even longer if it happened when I was abroad), made me decide to buy a back-up.
Just in case.
Mrs TG would go spare if she knew. She is always telling me to put that thing down.
So instead of a proper cover I bought a sort of padded case to hide it in. It doesn't look at all like the other two so she'll never suspect.
My name is TheoGriff and I cannot live without my Kindle.
* slinks away in shame *

Mine broke and had strange lines on the screen I rang up early in the morning 8:00amish and a new kindle arrived the next day! They send you the new one before you send the old one back. The customer service is fantastic.

*wanders in with a brown paper-bag over her head in a pathetic attempt to hide her identity*
Being without a Kindle?!!!! *mops cold sweat from brow* (surprisingly hard when wearing a bag!)
Is it really less than a year ago that I came here wondering whether to get a Kindle? (it was an early Christmas gift.....best pressie ever!)
Mum is asking what I want for my birthday...do I ask for a back-up Kindle?...it's going to be the big 5-0 this year, I could maybe wangle a really good present!....another Kindle sounds not only good, but vital!

I'm going to tell her, unless you leave £2 million in unused bank notes in a holdall in the ladies loo at Hampton Court station at 8pm tonight.
