My favourite duo! I've seen them live so many times and have tickets for Glasgow in June. I've got all their albums.
I remember liking the song on the radio and watching TOTP and thinking "that's what those guys look like". Little did I know that they would be the soundtrack of my life.

They have a new album out in January next year. Imaginatively entitled 24.1.20

Songs about Lawrence of Arabia and Oscar Wilde respectively. What they have in common was how far they moved my soul. Beautiful.

I think that's the release date? Their albums are usually a one word tittle?

I too was going to mention "The Last Post". Two more military pieces that give me goose-pimples:

    D-Day Dodgers:

    Radetzky March:

Mary Hopkins' "Those were the Days" came out in 1968 when I was on my "year abroad" teaching English in a French school, far away from friends and family back home:

I still find the words and melody elegiac now I'm old and grey.

This.................the glorious and unique Kate Bush.

I only found out recently that Sylvester was a man. Despite the name, I always thought the singer in the video for You Make Me Feel was female.:oops:
I love Miss Sarajevo by U2, especially when Pavarotti starts singing.
I remember trying to sing Wuthering Heights by Kate Bush when I was about 3 and my mother told me to shut up! To be fair I don't have a great singing voice.

Cavatina. I remember listening to this playing on a Spanish guitar many years ago when on holiday in Madrid. Every time I hear it, it takes me back. Music is so evocative isn't it?
