Music Software / Hardware and Training

Discussion in 'Music' started by everoptimist, Jan 28, 2011.

  1. Is anyone aware of any, preferably really good, software or hardware that could be used to support the learning of musical instruments. Or can you think of ways in which ICT could be used creatively to this end? It would have to be suitable for use within a primary school setting.

Information regarding any known training courses / workshops etc. run relating to this topic would also be beneficial.

Any and all feedback is appreciated, Thanks.

  3. Do you mean training courses for adults to learn about instruments?
If you are looking for things for children then there are a few online options, it also depends what instruments you want them to learn about.
If you are looking at the classical tradition then try www.dsokids.com. There are also teacher resources on there. Or something which may be suited to maybe year 5/6 pupils is the Young persons guide to the orchestra game on the Carnegie Hall website (http://www.carnegiehall.org/article/explore_and_learn/art_online_resources_listening_adventures.html)
