Music Scheme of Work

Discussion in 'Music' started by lucysharris, Dec 14, 2011.

  1. I have been asked to consider linking music with languages/cultures for next year for KS1 and KS2. Does anyone know if such a scheme exists as it seems like a HUGE undertaking - thinking of enough cultures for each year group and coming up with musical teaching points!
  2. Hi
I saw an amazing concert in Zurich last year. The promoter combined Irish, Flamenco, Slavish, Greek, Turkish, Arabic , Indian and and and....... The groups performed singly and then combined for jam sessions in various constellations.
The website is in German but if you look at the bottom of the page links Film1,2,3 etc... some performances are on YouTube. http://www.gypsyfestival.ch/info_und_shop/info_d.html
Might be worth looking for a starter idea.
