Moving from primary to secondary art

Hi I’m in my second year of teaching primary and I’m really missing art. There’s hardly any time/ space for it (in both the schools I’ve been in - also lack of resources). I’ve been thinking about looking into moving to secondary to teach art but not sure how I’d go about doing this. Will I need a portfolio? Do I need experience teaching the older ones? If so how do I get it whilst still being paid? Any answers/ guidance/ support would help. Thanks.
