I've been teaching in a secondary complex needs school for almost 10 years, for a variety of reasons I feel it's time to move on. I like the thought of going to mainstream but I am so specialised now that I'm worried I'm out of touch. My cpd has been predominantly nurture, communication methods ( makaton, pecs etc) sensory processing, and promoting positive behaviour. I'm job hunting now but I'm taking my time, I don't want to be too hasty. My question is; what cpd, literature, or initiatives do you think I should be pursuing while I'm searching?
