Hi, I am planning to move back to the UK after teaching in The USA for several years. I taught for 2 years after obtaining my PGCE in The UK before going to The USA. Will all my years of experience in The USA be factored into my salary when back in The UK?

There is no pay portability between jobs anymore in the UK. When you are being interviewed you will need to bring up salary both in terms of your expectations and potentially be able to justify them. If you teach a shortage subject e.g. Physics, then you have every chance of getting what you want. If you teach a subject where teachers are more easily available e.g. P.E. then it will be much more difficult
