Morrocan starter suggestions please

  1. I have decided to make bastilla for main course for a dinner party as it tasted so good when a student made it. And I fancy making some beghrir as well so would like some suggestions for starters?
    I thought I might like to serve some fresh figs either in a starter or dessert.
    Any ideas ?

  4. Thank you LR. I've only had bastilla with chicken. I'm just a bit concerned about it being too dry?

    Pigeon is traditional, but if using chicken use thighs, they are moister,
