More likely they are wealthy and middle class.

I think they're useful at the rally & march scale. Here they were just yobs.

Might be?! Current members of the Labour group on the London Borough of Haringey Council might beg to differ!

According to the BBC, the mob "broke in", and I don't think they mean interrupted:

The audience was already seated when these balaclava bullies made their entrance.

I used to have some respect for the antifascist league until a couple of years ago when they started hiding their faces and becoming violent.

They actually make the bad guys look good and turn a lot of people off the causes they espouse.

And I'm convinced they are always middle class bs who shout one thing and live the other.

To my mind they are cowards and do the Socialist movement no good whatsoever.

People might disagree with me but I also believe Momentum are a sick and twisted organisation using gullible people. Momentum's agenda isn't one of building a better country for the dispossessed. They are destroyers and not of the true working class.

The middle class scum who are behind Momentum know that proper Socialists are decent and honourable people who want political change through democratic means and so, they are happy to abuse that.

This isn't like the miners strike. It's just kids with paper cups of coffee in their hands spouting nonsense agendas that lead nowhere. They want power for power's sake and are happy to abuse democracy for their own ends.

You know I've met a lot of Momentum activists and none of them matched that description
Maybe you should get out more and meet a few Jude

But to be serious [and I can do that, honestly]... all this does is make Rees Mogg look good.

That is all that this achieves.

I agree entirely and said so long back in the thread.
Mind you, although I dislike his politics, trying to debate with Rees-Mogg would have been equally doomed to failure so they were on a hiding to nothing whatever they did

I accept both yourself and Jude have said as much.

    Just worth repeating.

Oh if he was Tory leader... then it'd be interesting. Teresa Mayfly would have had her 24hrs...

That's quite a lot of words to just say ''Vince disagrees with me''.

I am still interested in how the leavers would react if they are ignored by those who wish to shakle us to Europe.
Its all about what remianers want and plan..with no discussion how you will sort out a nation with divided views and loyalties.
Mogg is following the leaver view, but he is not what one might call a charasmatic leader.

I'm not sure what that has to do with the protest. The protesters weren't protesting about Brexit, but austerity, food banks (JRM called the rise in food banks "uplifting") and a protester confronted him on his views on abortion.

No he didn't. Why are you spreading such lies?

It was made clear many times, long ago, that he described the work of volunteers in helping with foodbanks to be uplifting, as reported by the BBC:

The voluntary support given to food banks is "rather uplifting" and "shows what a compassionate country we are", Tory MP Jacob Rees-Mogg has said.

Just spreading a lie doesn't make you look good, you know. And you are belittling the work of those volunteers by twisting JRM's praise of their work to mean something to suit your own agenda.
