    Peacefully.

That all depends upon whether he was acting to protect Rees-Mogg from these goons. Theirs was a deliberate attempting to intimidate. Alternatively, he could have been trying to make his way to the Gentlemen's.

Thank you for that exhibition of confirmation bias.

Many teachers know their subjects well enough that they can teach lessons in them and not rely upon "activities".

I don't think the Tory party have the imagination for this. They barely manage to plant interns into the Question Time audience.

    He seems contrite:

'Rees-Mogg said after being snapped at the Traditional Britain event: “I can entirely disassociate myself…I have never been a member or supporter. I clearly made a mistake…Mrs Lawrence is a wonderful and courageous woman who has contributed to British public life.”'
    Mirror.co.uk, 29th January 2018.

I haven't hear Rees-Mogg himself voice anything I would consider despicable. That other person sounds like a bad sort, though.

    I hope so.

The above quote does not deserve a response like this:

    That's sub-Bennett stuff

I wonder if he is bad..I suspect no one really cares about you till to gain some noterity. Never heard of him oh his protest except he raised hise head above the norm.
In terms of effect it has probabaly done more for Mogg than himself..he gets a bad reputation and the the other praise for the way he tried to handlle it. Reminds me of the guy who egged 2 jags. He got a crimminal record and 2 jags got praise for retailating!

Ensures respect, sympathy and votes to Rees-Mogg, shows us clearly how life under a Momentum Labour might well be.

You'd think the rise of Trump and the march of the right in Europe might make these so called activists realise their methods achieve the exact opposite of what is intended.....but no, onwards they go and onwards will move Rees-Mogg, Trump and the right.

It's a linguistic convention. "We" often say "we" when referring to ourselves as a country.

But you knew that. I hope.

Someone mentioned something like this upthread, now what was it? Communion beauteous? Confessional ballast?

Probably not. I don't know if it was ticketed.

He & his chums weren't a smart crowd, were they. They had what I think of as professional welfare claimant chic. I imagine they had parked their fleet of mobility scooters in the corridor.

This is why I get shirty when people argue that a word's meaning is determined by its use, but that might be just me being gay.

I'm pretty sure it was a ticket event.

This is why I can't be having anything to do with these Corbynite/Momentum lot. It reminds me of university where middle class kids think they know what Socialism is about and then, after graduation, go off and live the capitalist life like their parents.

These 'demonstrators' are about as far away from left wing Socialism as it's possible to be. They've more in common with the tories: i.e. they won't buy the ticket and still expect admission.

    Not in my name.
