Hi ere. I'm an NQT and was informed last week that we will be getting moderate in the summer. I am in Reception. What are people's experiences of moderation? During placement we were moderated and the class teacher was having such a massive stress about it.

I've been in reception for 8 years and have been moderated during 6 of those!

Please don't worry. I always see it as being helpful, particularly if there are any areas you are unsure of and need some clarification.

They shouldn't be trying to 'catch you out', just checking that you are on the right track and giving advice.

I'm sure you know your children really well and once you start talking about them you won't be able to stop!
