Hello Modelmaker, long time no see!
Welcome back MM
WOW. No that's a real blast from the past name. Must have been before the upgrade which introduced likes as you're still an 'occasional commentator.
Good to see you posting, however yes Personal has got very shouty apart from a few threads.
The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.
Pleased to see you back, MM.
I missed his droopy m.
So glad to find you here. The post baying for a return for all pupils from September with no social distancing did it for me. It's callous in the extreme.
Why hasn't anyone twigged that actually its a societal problem created by both parents working full time (as is the case in our house, but this needs to be recognised as the real reason teachers are being hung out to dry; not that it's in any way safe).
Sick to death of being told I can resign as well. They have no clue about contracts.
Oh and I'm actually a very old TES-er from the 2000s!
I haven't seen that thread (thank goodness, ****** email from a parent means I'm a bit wobbly this weekend) - you're right about the both parents working problem. It's a huge problem in society. It affects things like mortgages as well.
Ooh, forgot TES doesn't like a swear!
