I guess real or imagined, if the boy believes a bear helped him, it still probably saved his life?

Praise the Lord, miracles do happen........hang on, don't bears hibernate in the winter?

I was just about to post this story myself. Amazing if true but very fishy.

Hopefully Ted was a bear and not a creepy neighbour.

I doubt it. Bear behaviour is complicated and unpredictable, but this was far more likely to have been a black bear than a grizzly

I find it hard to believe a bear in winter would turn down an easy meal, maybe it had other business in the woods.

Perhaps the family are promoting the bear story to deflect criticism that a three-year-old was allowed to wander off unseen from his grandmother's care?

I've seen a video of a wild bear in a veterinary cage offering a kitten in the same cage a small lump of meat on the end of a claw. They made friends.

Obviously kittens are much cuter than toddlers but

I read that as 'from his grandmother's cave'

I see there are a number of opinions. Having watched that series with the Scottish camerman bloke called "the bear family and me" it showed how gentle and tolerant bears can be of humans, but I don't see how the kid survived the sub-zero temperatures.
