I have a class of students whose predicted grades range from 5 to 7 ,which I'd be delighted if they achieve. For classes of this type do others tend to cap teaching and avoid some of the more complex higher topics and focus on what would be seen as topics at level 7 and below. Thanks

yeah, pretty much. cherrypick from the grade 8/9 topics, cover accessible ones, ignore more complex ones

If its a good class you can cover grades 5 to 7. A class where behaviour can be questionable stick with grades 5 and 6. Cover grade 7 but only really focus on it as you come closer to the exam. Grades 8/9 unless they are taking the higher exam just leave them to the time when you are going through exam papers and then just concentrate on the method.
