    Hi All

I've been asked to develop a new, whole school approach to mental maths as it's been identified as an area of development.

I've been told that each class will have a weekly lesson, dedicated to mental maths.

Just wondered if any of you already do this, have any suggestions or advice as to what has/hasn't worked in your schools. Also, any resources/schemes that you have experience of.

Just would really appreciate any ideas before I launch anything.

    Thanks!

If it is weekly, be careful that you don't end up with constant testing and no teaching.

In my opinion mental maths should be taught on a daily basis.

We used Big Maths, absolutely fab, in my opinion.
