I've been asked to attend frequent staff meetings on days i do not work. I don't have any easy childcare so will be really difficult. What are my rights here?

You don't have to attend, if you're under STPCD. That's it.

They can invite you to attend, and offer to pay you to do so. But you still don't have to go.

I'm always surprised at how cheeky they are in asking you to do that!

Say no, they don't have a leg to stand on x
