Mediatheque at the BFI for Yr 9?

Discussion in 'Media studies' started by invisible1, Apr 16, 2012.

  1. As part of our activities week we're thinking about spending some time on the Southbank and possibly the BFI. I've emailed them to request info/advice about activities that they might offer and they suggested the Mediatheque, I was just wondering if anyone had taken a group (Year 9 especially) down there and whether it was useful?

  2. I took a group of year 12s and they really liked it, and they watched a range of different things - not just modern stuff. They can filter what the kids see for their ages too from what I can remember. Might be worth seeing what education workshops/lectures are on too as you could combine a workshop on a part of the course with the Mediatheque - on it's own it's a nice novelty but won't keep them amused for a whole day.
