Does anyone know when the McCormac review is likely to be published?

It was supposed to be during the 'summer' but I've not heard a peep.

Not sure what your staffroom is like but the only thing that would make my lot stand up would be running out of biscuits!

I hear there will be frameworks of practice for PTs and faculty heads - so non-contact time will be preserved, but skiving, "home early before their dept" HoDs, FHs and PTs will have their derrieres felt methinks.

  12. I'm really nervous about this. I'm scared too many of the things I like about this job are about to disappear.

    what might they be?

  14. Time probably encompasses a fair few, trust and autonomy, some kind of career progression other than Teacher-Faculty Head-Deputy-Head, subject specialism at all levels of Secondary...

I thought those had pretty much gone already, especially trust and autonomy. Under the guise of CfE,we've all seem to have become clones who have to deliver the same lessons. Maybe it's just my school!

  16. I think your school is worse than others for that. I think it varies between individual subjects too. CfE has had alittle impact on my actual classroom, beyond having to write a slightly different set of comments when I'm marking. I do see the carnage it has wreaked on other subjects and despair.

  17. Tomorrow, tomorrow! You're only a day away...
