Maths Observation - Year 5 Inspiration Needed!!!!

Discussion in 'Primary' started by jenpen123, Dec 2, 2011.

  1. Hi all.

I've been invited to teach a lesson next week as part of a job interview. They've asked me to teach Year 5 Maths, with a focus on mental Maths. There will be four small groups who will rotate so I will be teaching for 15 mins each, and they are differentiated by group.

Does anyone have any ideas for me, I'm completely lacking inspiration, as you can probably tell I have not taught upper KS2 Maths for a long time!

Thank you in advance for your help!

Have a look at this document that outlines the pitch and expectations for Year 5:
Choose your learning objective first and then consider how you will cover that with 4 different groups. You may look at the pitch and expectations for Year 4 and 6 to help with the LA and HA groups.
  3. amazing thank you!
