maths manipulatives for KS1

Discussion in 'Early Years' started by santis5, Apr 12, 2011.

  1. I saw some manipulatives on the web which are ideal for teaching hundreds, tens, units etc. The system was designed by a university professor and consists of blocks (domino shaped) which fit into a box. The box snaps shut only when 10 blocks have been inserted thus making a 'ten'. The system continues in the same vein with boxes for 100s and 1000s. I believe that this system would help in the school where I'm currently teaching.
Unfortunately I have misplaced the link to the product and was wondering if anyone else could help me

    thanks and regards m
