Maths assessment for level 1a/2c needed please - starting 1:1 with year 3 learner soon

Discussion in 'Primary' started by KindDog, Jun 25, 2011.

  1. Hi. If anyone could point me the direction of a downloadable asessment to do with a leavel1a/2c student, i'd be very grateful. She is in year 3 and I'm about to start a short block of 1:1s with her, but dont have much experience of delivery maths interventions, so dont have a suitable assessment to hand. (I need somthing that could be administered in a 1 hour assessment session. )

    Any ideas?

  2. Why don't you use a KS1 maths SATs paper? "borrow" one from school

This is the free assessment from the Primary Strategies site: http://nationalstrategies.standards.dcsf.gov.uk/node/237754

Schools around here use the Sandwell assessment but you have to buy that.

  6. Ask the current classteacher what the gaps are

  7. I agree with bluerose the current teacher should have assessments already.
Also, look at the Wave 3 and Overcoming Barriers materials once you know the focus.
