Can a Head Teacher make you start your maternity leave earlier than you want to?
I think it is only if you go off sick 4 weeks before your due date otherwise I think it is up to you. I'm no expert though.
I thought that was the case but for example if I am ok to work but maybe not have good/outstanding lessons can the head start my maternity leave early?
the only way an employer can force start your maternity leave early is if you are signed off sick from 36 weeks.
they cannot forcibly start your maternity leave earlier than 36 weeks or for any reason other than being signed off sick.
