New to the subject leader role, being asked to deliver a staff meeting to all staff on 'map skills across the curriculum'
Any resources/ideas/links to where I could find help would be really useful as I am completely panicking.
    Thank you :)

Have a look at the national curriculum and see what pupils are required to do in the key stages that you teach. Then you can start to map where they might be taught.

I have a couple of (free) resources on here about map skills at different levels - they're old and not for the current curriculum but might be useful as a starting point:

There is so much geography out there and it seems fairly obvious how you get into some subjects: maths with co-ordinates, history with maps of whichever subjects are being covered and some atlas skills, drawing maps in English to accompany instructions/setting which can be make more geographical through using os symbols, keys, scale etc, art with layer shading perhaps (a bit tenuous) /DT making 3D models with contour lines, languages - maps of regions with human and physical features and the vocabulary. Other subjects, I can't quite see as clearly, but Geography is everything so if you're determined enough it can be done.

    Good luck.
