I am currently a full time research student but have continued to do work on a self employed sole trader basis in my ‘spare’ time

As a result, I submit annual self assessment tax returns

I wondered if anyone uses digital accounting software such as Sage or Quickbooks?

Will I need to switch to a digital platform in April - I am nowhere near paying VAT and won’t be in a position to do so in the future

I would like to move over to digital anyway as I think it will be better at seeing exactly how much tax / NI I need to put aside
