making a legal backup of Blueray DVD and DISNEY

Discussion in 'Computing and ICT' started by Smirk, Oct 14, 2011.

  1. It's legal to make a backup of a DVD or Blue Ray disc.
What works for you? Handbrake works well with unprotected discs but not with the latest Disney films.
    What have you tried?

  2. In the UK, no it isn't. And I mean no, not under any circumstances at all without explicit written permission of the copyright holder.
It is even illegal to make a copy for yourself in case you lose the copy you bought.
