Actually, most of my clog-based memories involve pain and injury.
So what on earth do you dance round at the disco?
How long did it take you to stop wearing them?
I don't like a handbag either. I tend to have pockets or just leave everything in a heap on the passenger seat of the car. If I'm dressed up with no pockets I like teensy little bags.
When I could afford to buy another pair of shoes more suitable for waitressing and the Edinburgh terrain. Which was a long time because my boss only paid me £3.01 per hour. This was in the late 90s.
But they are RUBBER! I have 3 pairs. This pair, the orange and some aubergine.
Rubber with cork soles.
Mine were unforgiving, treacherous, solid wood.
Pretty, soft and RUBBER! This is my next pair.
I like these, GDW. I had to give up my heels, which I loved, when I fell and dislocated my shoulder. It did hurt, but the ambulance man gave me morphine!! Nice!!
Believe me, it's good stuff!!

What? I was paid £8.50 an hour in the late 90s. Your boss was a cheapskate.
Morphine makes me violently sick afterwards
I was too busy flying with the birds!!!
Gas and air makes me ill.
That must have been horrible to find out.
It was - the joy at the pain going was soon replaced by horrendous heaving.
Well you'll all be waiting to know what I like then....
I do have orange clothes. I do have a small handbag so I don't end up carting loads of useless junk around e.g. torch, 100 assorted pens and stationary etc.
I don't wear grey as it makes me look washed out. I do wear pastel colours. I only do corporate these days on parents evening .
Until I have to I will continue to wear boots. The summer I change to sandals but avoid heels unless it for going out in the evening. I still buy shoes with ridiculous heels because I like the look of them even if I hardly wear them. Wedges might be more comfortable but they don't look as good as high heels imho.
So whAt is the colour for this year?
I had morphine after my hysterectomy. It made me throw up and feel awful. I can't imagine taking it recreationally.
I have faaaabulous handbags - all useless given the life I now lead. Gucci handbags anyone? Make me an offer - I need a tractor mower......
