Don't models have huge feet?
Is that the extra pongy soap that they cut bits of with cheese wire?
I am not! How very dare you!
Grumpy doesn't do handbags and I rarely do "stuff". Huge bags are soon turned into disgusting Black Holes of Calcutta in my hands, so I've learnt to do without them. For some years now I've made do with bags just big enough to carry
a tissue or two
and I'm much happier and more comfortable for it!
I believe they are only worn by throwbacks now.
Here's inky's list.
wallet - pocket
comb - don't need one
glasses - wear them
a tissue or two - pocket
lipstick - if it fades then it fades
kindle - well, I'd be on holiday so I'd have a bag then
phone - clip it on the waistband of my shorts/trousers
I hate handbags. They make me feel like a woman. They make me feel like a geisha. They enfeeble me.
Pastel colours suit me best. After black, purple and grey, obvs.
I like primrose.
So do I on primroses but not on me.
Clogs?! What kind of clogs? Please reassure me that you don't mean Crocs!
I thought you were a woman (albeit a grumpydog one)?
Those who model shoes have small feet, no bigger than a size 4, apparently.
Yes, but she wants to feel like a superhero
Why does having a handbag make one feel like a Geisha?
and tiny, childlike bodies that make their feet look huge in comparison
Have treated myself to a bright, butterfly covered handbag...... most un me!
Just brought our old cat home.... Megan (Megsie) She was really the eldest's cat as she got her from Cats' Protection league as a young cat recently neutered after being found with a litter. A lovely tabby, nice natured and happy she alas developed intestinal trouble which vet and child couldn't sort....so my girl said she had no option but to have her out to sleep. I said ...no way and that she could come and live in the stables (the ex wouldn't have another "house cat" ) So Megsie came to me and was usually to be seen sitting on the half stable door in the back yard....liking to attract folk to come down the yard to stroke her. Forward many years to when I had to leave the marital home and I decided I would risk her coming into the next house (Emma the house cat had passed on at 19) Well.. there wasn't any problem with her and in fact she became the mother of all house cats in that she decided that having got her 4 paws into a house .... she was never ever setting a paw outside again. So Megsie became a fixture in the downstairs of the house and was as happy as could be. She would not go out through the back door though...it was as if she was saying..... "you lot would put me in a stable given half a chance ... so here I stay!"
On coming back from our week in Spain I was a little shocked to see her looking thin. I tried for the next week to feed her up....but it wasn't working. Took her to the vets and it was decided that she was in probable kidney failure and at her age ..... at least 18, it was kindest to out her to sleep.
So tonight she is on my cast iron (not working) stove in her little wooden case along with .....5 dogs.....
Re models and long feet......as most of them are 5' 11" + then they are obviously going to have long feet. At that height mine are a 9 to 9 1/2.... and for all my life I have hated them but then to be that tall one would look silly and unbalanced with size 4 or 5 feet!
Have I covered everything? Oh despite all my good intentions and at least 4 bottles of unopened perfume..... I bought yet another in Gib when on holiday..... I have more perfumes than I know what to do with...... such an extravagance !
I have resurrected a large leather bag i bought in Marrakech years ago. it's battered but lovely.
At least nowadays one can find a lot of shoes in this size.
But you like MY handbags, Lascarina!
