  1. Evening all,

I left a permanent job 4 years ago to do supply. I was on M6 when I left after 14 years of teaching. I have now be offered a permanent role again but they’ve offered me M4. Can they drop me down the pay scale or is my M6 protected?

    Many thanks

    This is pretty basic stuff......

Pay portability went years ago. Probably when you were still in a permanent job. This question, what comes up time and time again, explains why this profession is walked over.

They can offer anything they like and you are free to accept or decline.
M4 is likely to pay you more than continuing supply, so think carefully before you refuse.
