Lump

Discussion in 'Health and wellbeing' started by clematis, Dec 31, 2010.

  1. Hi all, never posted on here before but just after some advice.
I have a lumpy thing on my head just inside the hairline; pinky coloured and feels rough to the touch. Also seems to be getting bigger. It's very itchy too, and today I have noticed small brown specks on it. Does anyone have any ideas? I will go to the doc as soon as I can but away on hol at the moment.
    Thanks in advance!

  2. Possibly Scalp Psoriasis???

  3. Possibly and most probably a sebaceous cyst, where one of the follicles gets blocked with oil. Best go to GP to get it checked though.

  4. How big? Could be solar keratosis (not malignant) if you're fair, seborrhoeic wart (also benign). If it's driving you mad they'll take it off in a quick simple painless (apart from the local anaesthetic injection) procedure.
