Low cost 3d printers

  1. Im looking to invest in a low cost 3d printer and was wondering if anyone has got one. Im looking at the 3d touch and the up 3d printer.

  3. We have the UP. We also looked at a cheaper alternative but our local college put us off a bit as they had bought 5, they were self assembly, took a fair deal to set up correctly and broke easily. one unit became a donor. They do get results from them though.
    We have had the UP for almost a year. Its very easy to set up, only a small amount of assembly needed and its very straight forward.
    It is very simple and user friendly to use, It's only a matter of getting used to the settings and options. I wrote a crib sheet which made it easier for the staff to use.
    The results are very good, And the ball bearing demo piece offers great 'wow' factor. Its fairly slow (bearing takes about 2 hrs).
    Twice as much money as the other but its great value for money. Its so good we'd consider buying another if the funds became available.
