Lottery Community Funding £10,000

    Hello. I've been looking at setting up a Community Coding/programming club at my school so we can get some of the desperately needed equipment into school.

    I can see from application guidance that our school would be eligible for this if we were to do some/all of the following (which we would do anyway):
    invite parents in occasionally to work with their children
    run whole school coding days
    run an afterschool club
    offer a code camp in some of the holidays

    I've seen other schools doing this and using the money to buy SAM Labs, Microbit and Lego.

    It looks too good to be true. Has anyone had experience of this?

    We have looked at this in another context for funding. The issue will be, as I understand it, whether you'll be able to show community benefit beyond the school: that was what stopped us applying for our project.
