Just a quick query.. My wife, who has been a TA for about 10 years (level 3 qualified but working at level 4 according to all the teachers) recently had here paperwork through from the local authority re pay review. Unfortunately for my wife, in the year 2008 (which was used to calculate pay/level) my wife was working solely with a statemented child. This is not her usual job role, nore has it been since 2008. Her new pay scale level has been adjusted to level 1. She went to see the head who has informed her that as the review is based on 08, the review is correct and there is nothing she can do re appealing. He did say that she can ask for a level reappraisal in the future based on her current role, but the forms haven't even been designed yet let alone produced so she will have to live with it for now. Is this correct? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
