London Metropolitan Archives is noe inviting students to sign up for the Summer College. This one week in-depth programme study is open to Years 11 and above.

During this week students will have the opportunity to look at the cause, effect and outcomes of the Great Fire and how it made its mark on London in the 17th century. Through an investigation and by using primary source material they will become more familiar with the conspiracies and the politicsof the day and look at the legislation and the designs for the rebuilding of the City. Students will also use the Great Fire as a case study to understand the science of fire and how this knowledge is used in contemporary building and city designs.
