I would like to take my Y5 class on a day tyrip to Llandudno ( from St Helens). This is to work on the 'contrasting localities' unit. I would really appreciate tips from anybody who has already done this with their class. I know Llandudno quite well but am concerned about weather ( as always), how/ where people worked in their lunch and toilet breaks. The practical stuff!!! Did anybody find any particular visit a nightmare/ delight? I know that I won't be able to fit all of these in but I'm thinking along the lines of: tramway ride up the Great Orme Visitors centre at the summit ( Bronze age mines?????) walk along the pier survey facilities on the Prom/ high street. These are just initial ideas. Suggestions are very much welcome!!!
