Light and shadows display-help please!

Discussion in 'Primary' started by daisydimple, Aug 27, 2009.

  1. Can anyone give me some ideas for a Light and Shadows classroom display that the children can be involved in the first week back please? I haven't even started back to school yet and I've lost the plot! Thank you

  2. The schools links website has some good resources to start a display off with.
I also got the children to write a question on an outline picture of a light bulb for what they would like to find out and then put these around the outside of the display.
You could have a selection of materials and torches for children to test out and then sort into pots for transparent, translucent and opaque.
Get the chidlren to make shadow monsters in pairs and take digital photographs to go on the display.

    I hope this is useful.
