Light and Dark topics

    so in September we will be looking at light and dark, splitting it into other sup topics such as carnival, autumn, nocturnal animals, space etc. I'm struggling to think of some more subtopics so any help would be great fully received! Thank you :) (this is for eyfs by the way)

    Maybe introduce the topic and see what the children are interested in? Just a thought - child led planning?

    things about the sky i.e. you can see the sun only when it is light outside? or shadows only possible through light?

    Science topic materials eg Which of these materials allow light through?
    Art eg mixing dark and light colours, adding white to red.
    Literacy The Owl who was afraid of the Dark
