Hi, I'm a student teacher working in a year 2 class. I am doing light and dark and one of the objectives is "to learn that sources of light show up best at night time" - anyone got any ideas for some hands on activities I could set up for this? I don't have access to a room that can get very dark so that dismisses a few possibilities.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

Could you get hold of some thick blankets/quilts to drape over a table to create a dark den?

The above is a photo of the Earth at night showing all the lights, you could compare it to a picture of Earth in the day when the lights don't show up.

This activity shows how light is brighter in a dark room.
