If the spelling in my title is inaccurate, I could not give a damn. Lock down, jump in the garden. Open the pubs, great, lets get back to boozing. Adverts on TV depict beautiful people, lovely teeth, lots of cosmetics and so it goes on and on. OK, we get the poverty and awful conditions in other countries in the news, but how far does that affect us? Very little, I feel. God bless you all in this forum, but I would like to see a little more, not just about reality, but about what could be done about it.

As a man, I can't comment on the realities of this subject matter but it seems a move away from rollerblading in white hot pants and towards reality. Enjoy!

@Dragonlady30. Thank you for your immediate response, I do not want to turn this thread into another one which focusses on my problems, therefore I will decline on commenting on my sleepless nights.
I am trying to accommodate an understanding of the video from WB. Entertaining it is, and appears to address the juxtaposition of reality with fantasy. My take is that what we see on TV (apart from reality news), is fantasy.

Thank you coffeekid, but what do we do about it? If I was younger I think I would be out on the streets, and resurrect the debate about means and ends prevalent between anarchists and authoritarian socialists in the nineteenth century. Perhaps violence is the only response we are left with.

Alive but not kicking! Christian Anarchy was not really part of the debate in the nineteenth century regarding means and ends, it really came about 100 years later. And of course no violence is ever supported, yet the media and the politicians still love to call the violent ones anarchists.

On the theme of beautiful people with perfect teeth etc... I recal when Eastenders started and the actors in it were normal. Old Dot cotton with her fag, Michelle fowler with her bad skin etc. I haven't watched it for years now but when I ocassionally flick onto it I get irritated by all the good looking characters. It seems no one is allowed to look ordinary or plain anymore as it's just not good enough.
Even food in restaurants has to look instagramable. It doesn't seem to matter what it tastes like as its look is more important.

Well, well. This thread didn't last long on the front page, I wonder why? I hope it is not because none of us know what to do. Talk therapy, write on the internet, happy days, but no action.
I have, what I think, is a very significant story from Barbados. Our marvelous prime minister has just included in one of her speeches that we must all get back to growing our own food, in our premises. Wonderful idea, but of course its all talk. We have occasional inspections to see if we have anything in our surroundings which might be breeding mosquitoes, so why not put the money in place to provide multitudinous inspectors to see that we are not only keeping our premises clean, but are using the space to grow food?. If the politicians can find millions of dollars to combat a pandemic, surely they can find millions to do this? Where are the vested interests? I know, it's to do with the divide between the rich and the poor. God bless you all.

In case anyone had not noticed, I deliberately started this thread so that I could proselytize about Christian Anarchism. If there are no further responses here, this will only confirm and re-enforce my conviction that no-one is interested, as I have already experienced in RL. BTW, I am continuing to write my book, I believe I am inspired by God, just like commentators think that the writers of the Bible were inspired by God.
As I observe the behaviour of governments to coronovirus, and the reactions of the masses (for and against) to lockdown, all I can do is smile., knowing that God is in control. We are certainly not.

My desire to proselytize on Christian Anarchy really has fallen on unresponsive ears, racroesus claims to be immune to it ( I guess he does not mean he feels immune to the virus), but I am not (immune to Christian Anarchy). So where can I proselytize and spread my virus? I would like to treat this Personal Forum a little like being on a soap box at Hyde Park Corner, but again there may be few responses. Most of you will just walk past. and of those who stay a few might heckle (which I would enjoy), but even fewer express serious interest.
If I started a thread on Christian Anarchy on TES, where should I put it? This forum seems to be the only one anywhere near the experience of Hyde Park, since Opinion Forum has disappeared. I could give my thoughts on teaching in an anarchist society, or, in my experience being an arm-chair anarchist as a state and private school teacher, and then could write in several of the specialist forums here. Should I bother, or give up my relationship with TES all together and just concentrate on my book? It will, (already does do so far), contain all of my anarchist views on society, politics, religion, science, sex, children and particularly schools.
Any suggestions, or should I just melt into my retirement and oblivion? I am praying to God to guide me.

I don't have any answers @Mathsteach2 . I'm afraid I have no interest in Christian Anarchy, not really. If it's any consolation, a lot of people just use TES to shoot the sh*t (with a bit of talk therapy?) and the rest use it to bash out personal/political agendas. It seems to be one or the other. I'm sorry your interests aren't garnering sufficient attention, but c'est la vie. I'm always trying to start threads about art and culture but in the main it's not what people want on TES. And that's ok! I have other outlets.

@coffeekid. Many thanks for your immediate response. I am being very aggressive and I do want to "bash out personal/political agendas" . You say you have other outlets. I write on www.christianforums.com but they are mostly mainstream Christianity and responses are from posters who say they are interested but mostly dismissive. Christian Anarchy websites are awful, I sometimes wonder if anyone there are actually Christians. Ah well, back to my book!! I am investigating the publication of it through the Internet (e.g. Amazon) but I probably will not live that long!

Slavery has been a part of human organization from the beginning. Mainstream Christianity is as guilty as all other authoritarian structures for implementing it.
@Ivartheboneless. My version of Christian Anarchy permits in a belief of one God, many gods, or none at all, providing individuals do not cause harm to others. One of our Bible texts which is fundamental to us is the Sermon on the Mount. Few mainstream Christians adhere to its admonitions.
    Many thanks for your responses.
