Letter to Head teacher for voluntary placement

Discussion in 'Teaching assistants' started by ehunt8787, Dec 5, 2011.

  1. Hi all,

I am looking towards taking a TA course within the new year and have rung some Primary Schools close by to ask the best way in order to gain a voluntary placement. I was told to write or email a letter to the Head teacher.

Could anyone suggest essential things to include to help me be considered?

Or what routine points I should be sure to mention.

I just need a little help in this area as I have no previous experience with children within an educational background.

Is it best to send a letter or email? (in this day and age!)

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
