Finally, how do The Unreasonables work with schools and their pupils?
The Unreasonables designs and delivers leadership programmes to students at staff at the most ambitious schools across the UK. Primarily, our student work is focused on Sixth Form, as these students will set the tone for the culture of leadership across the school. We work either with whole year groups, or specifically in developing the leadership capabilities of student leadership teams. We absolutely recognise the crucial role of staff in the school ecosystem – both in terms of influencing the culture of leadership within schools, but also in terms of supporting students to develop their leadership skills. In 2017, we launched a nine-month leadership accelerator for staff – The Unreasonable Teacher Academy – to develop the leadership capabilities of ambitious staff who are keen to become champions of change within their own schools. For schools wishing to adopt a more tailored approach to leadership development, we also design and deliver bespoke programmes designed to meet the precise needs of a particular school.
