Jim, I'm usually a bit skeptical about these courses, perhaps in a complacent or sour grapes way because I was never fortunate enough to go on one myself.
But in a coincidence too silly to be ignored, the first envelope I tore open after reading the forum and deciding to attempt some half hearted work, contained advertising from a body called the Principals' Training Centre who are running six courses this June/July in apparently relevant areas.
Trouble is, they are in Miami and London, not places to which you can thumb a lift from Bangkok.
They are at www.ThePTC.org, and might be worth checking out: I have no other knowledge of them, and receive no commission.
    Good luck.

    Hello jim

Flinders University in Adelaide have a very well established distance learning centre. You can undertake Graduate Diplomas, Certificates and Master's. I am just about to finish my Masters and was getting bored with Special Ed courses I am doing so have permission to pick up a course from the MEd (Leadership and Management) specialisation. Lots of international students do their Masters through Flinders and they are very wll organised in quickly getting study materials to you and the online platform of communicating with lecturers and fellow students is enjoyble. Might be worth a look.

I've been on one of the PTC courses (instructional supervision) and will definately go again in July. They are great! The course work itself is very good but you also benefit so much from the conversations with others in similar roles. Most of our SMT have been sent on them.

Wouldn't it be great if someone could create a website where you could type a few words in a box and it word search for relevant websites for you. You could give it a cool name link Bing or Yahoo or Google.
    Probably will never happen, alas...
  6. Leicester do an MA in educational Leadership, 3 years distance learning course for 6600 sterling for overseas students
