Latest Ofsted Update: SMSC, British Values and Equality.

Discussion in 'Ofsted inspections' started by NCFD, Jul 19, 2015.

  1. The National Centre for Diversity has been at the forefront of advancing equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in workplaces all over the UK. Now we are working with schools to positively influence beliefs, attitudes, behaviour and conduct towards issues surrounding EDI and British Values.

    In response to the new Ofsted inspection framework in September 2015 we are holding a free ‘Latest Ofsted Update’ event where we will be also launching a new SMSC and British Values gap analysis tool.

    From September 2015 SMSC, British Values, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion will be vital components of the new common inspection framework.

    Getting these wrong jeopardises your chances of a successful inspection.

    We are holding an event which will:

    • Provide you with the latest updates on the new 2015 Ofsted framework;
    • Raise awareness on available tools and support to help schools in relation to SMSC, British Values, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion;
    • Give valuable information on employment law and how this affects schools.

    The following speakers will be presenting at the conference:

    • Russell Hobby – General Secretary, National Association of Head Teachers: Keynote speaker 'Matters of the Moment in Education’.
    • Richard Moore – Ofsted Inspector: The new Ofsted framework and how this affects your school in terms of EDI, SMSC, British Values and classroom practice.
    • Ben Wood – Lawyer, Eversheds: The EDI legal requirements that schools must fulfil.
    • Simon Rich – Senior Manager, National College for Teaching and Leadership: General funding available to schools.
    Attendance to this conference is free of charge however places are LIMITED. To book your place please visit:
